Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has sympathized with his Kwara counterpart and Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq on the boat accident that claimed many lives in the state.
Sanwo-Olu, in a condolence message on Thursday, expressed sadness over the incident which claimed the lives of over 100 wedding guests at Egbu village, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara.
He sympathized with immediate families of the victims and the government and people of Kwara.
”I am deeply saddened by the news of a boat accident that occurred at Egbu village in Patigi, Kwara , which claimed the lives of over 100 people.
”The death of loved ones is usually very painful but the death of over a hundred citizens who undertook a journey to celebrate the wedding of their loved ones made the tragic incident more disheartening.
