We write this to express our utmost admiration and commendation for the outgoing member, Federal House of Representatives, Dukku/Nafa’da federal constituency, Gombe State, Hon Aishatu Jibrin Dukku, a highly influential and dedicated leader in the Nigerian political sphere who has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and quality representation in the House of Representatives, which makes her a valuable addition to any political administration.
We must also acknowledge her remarkable contribution as a Minister of Education, during the Yar-Adua administration. Her initiatives and policies in the education sector were commendable and positively impacted the Nigerian educational system.
Her expertise, experience, and leadership skills would be invaluable in developing and implementing policies that would drive progress and development in the country.
Furthermore, we believe that her loss in the general election and by extension Speakership race is a significant loss for the whole country in general and the North East in particular. Her presence in the leadership position would have brought balance and gender representation. As an experienced lawmaker, she would have moderated some of the tensions and controversies surrounding the Speakership race, thereby fostering harmony and promoting peace in the House of Representatives.
Despite Hon. Aishatu Jibir Dukku’s best efforts to address the age-long perennial water scarcity in Dukku, she encountered obstacles from politicians who acted out of personal interests rather than the welfare of the community. Their actions hindered the progress of her initiatives, thereby limiting the extent to which she could resolve the water crisis.
However, Hon. Aishatu Dukku remains committed to the cause and will continue to work towards finding a sustainable solution to provide an adequate water supply to the people of Dukku and it’s environs.
It is clear that Hon Aishatu Jibrin Dukku is a capable and talented individual with an exceptional wealth of experience. It would be a loss to let her skills go to waste. With her knowledge and expertise, she would undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the development and growth of these organizations. Your Excellency, should not miss the opportunity to utilize her talents to their fullest potential.
We urge you to consider Hon Aishatu Jibrin Dukku for an appointment in the incoming Tinubu/Shettima government. We are convinced that her inclusion would be beneficial to the Nigerian populace and would facilitate progress and development in the country.
