The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa has congratulated
Nigeria’s President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu and Vice President-elect, Sen. Kashim Shettima
on their victory at the polls.
The party’s Chairman in the state, Mr Samaila Tadawos, who expressed happiness over the outcome of the Feb. 25
Presidential and National Assembly (NASS) polls in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola
on Wednesday, said “the victory is sign of hope for Nigeria.”
Tadawos, therefore, called on the party supporters to come out en masse to vote during the March 11 Governorship and
State Assembly elections peacefully as exhibited during presidential election.
He urged stakeholders to be patient and unite for the victory of the party.
The state chairman further called on other candidates to accept the outcome of elections in good faith and see it as an act of God.
However, Mr Christopher Nicolas, the Chairman of Labour Party in Adamawa, described the election as “unfair”.
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct fresh and credible election and
urged party supporters to remain calm.
He called on the party’s supporters to get ready for the Governorship and state assembly elections on March 11.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Nigerians went to the polls on Feb. 25 for Presidential and National Assembly
(NASS) elections and the results announced on Wednesday, March 1, by INEC.
INEC declared Sen. Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as President-elect for scoring 8,794,726 million votes.
Tinubu, former Governor of Lagos State, scored 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
who polled 6,984,520 votes and Peter Obi of Labour Party who secured 6,101,533 votes.
