Voters at Polling Unit 001, Government Day Secondary School, Karu have decried the late arrival of materials and officials of INEC.
The officials arrived with materials at about 8:39 a.m. the against the official time of 8am.
Mr Augustine Ezechukwu, Member, Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), said that voters had been waiting to be accredited some minutes before the arrival of electoral officials.
He said that the voters who came very early,organised themselves by issuing numbers in order of accreditation and voting.
Ezechukwu, who condemned the late arrival, urged voters to be calm and hopef for a peaceful elections.
Mr Moses Onoja, the Presiding Officer of the unit said that they were delayed at the INEC collection centre, Municipal Office, Karu.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that in spite the hiccup, turnout of voters was commendable.
However, At Ward 061, New NEPA Office, Karu Site 2, materials unlike the Polling Unit 001, GDSS Karu, arrived early with an impressive turn out of voters.
Mr Ikechukwu Munachimso, Presiding Officer for the unit expressed optimism for peaceful and credible polls.
Security operatives were also at hand to ensure security as voters cast their votes for candidates of their choice.
