The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kwara Command says it has deployed 830 personnel for election duty across the state.
The Sector Commander, Mr Frederick Ogidan told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Thursday that 630 personnel had been deployed to polling booths across 16 local governments areas.
He added that the remaining 200 personnel were assigned to enforce the restriction order on movement.
The Sector Commander also said that three ambulances have been placed on standby in case of any emergency.
Ogidan warned the personnel to be neutral and disciplined to ensure peaceful conduct of the election.
“This is a very special duty that must be discharged effectively. Remain apolitical and ensure peaceful conduct of the election,” he said.
Ogidan urged residents who intend to travel, to do so before 12 midnight of Friday.
“As from the early hours of Saturday morning, there will be restriction of movement, it is advisable you travel during day time and avoid unnecessary rush,” he added.
