The Kaduna State Government on Thursday said its one week free medical service to residents has commenced on Wednesday.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Mohammed-Baloni said in a statement that the free medical services will be available in all public hospitals and clinics.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the service will, however, cover common illnesses such as Malaria, and children under five and pregnant women.
The commissioner said to access the service, intended beneficiaries must present their Residency Cards or National Identification Numbers.
She said the gesture was to cushion the hardships of residents due to current cash crunch.
