A former two term Deputy Governor in Jigawa State, Ahmed Mahmoud Gumel has disclosed that, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the 2023 general elections in Jigawa, other states and at federal level.
He made the remark while speaking at Bamaina, the home town of former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido, shortly after he formally declared his defection to the PDP.
According to him,Nigerians will vote out the ruling APC and vote in the opposition PDP because the ruling party has failed Nigerians and has not fulfilled it’s campaign promises.
He said, since the APC has failed to deliver it’s mandates to the electorates, the only alternative for Nigerians is to vote out APC in 2023 to restore the country’s lost glory.
Gumel said, “We will ensure that PDP come back to power in 2023 as Nigerians are fed up with the untold hardship bedeviling the Nation couple with the dwelling economy that crippled all sectors of human endeavors”.
He informed that, prominent politicians in the state will join PDP in the next two weeks to contribute to the party’s victory in the forthcoming general elections.
The former deputy governor said, he enjoyed working with his boss, former governor, Sule Lamido as Governor and Deputy, adding that despite his defection to the APC, they respect each other.
He therefore called on all positive thinking Jigawa State’s citizens to rally and ensure the success of PDP in the 2023 general elections.
