The Action Alliance (AA) Hamza Al-Mustapha Presidential Campaign Council, Northwest Zone, has collapsed into Governor Bello Matawalle led Tinubu/Shettima Northwest Campaign Council of the All progressives Congress (APC).
The alliance was a move to form a formidable force that will guarantee the victory of the APC presidential candidate at the 2023 presidential elections in the subregion.
In a statement on Thursday, the Press Secretary to the Zamfara State governor, Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji stated that, the merger or collaboration was conveyed to the governor in a letter signed by the Zonal Coordinator of the Action Alliance Presidential Council, Northwest Zone, Hajiya Amina Kilishi Lamido.
She said in the letter that, the decision for the merger was informed by the overwhelming appreciation of Governor Matawalle’s leadership qualities, unprecedented achievements and the exceptional feats he has achieved as the Tinubu/Shettima Northwest Campaign Council Coordinator.
Hajiya Amina who led some members of the AA Presidential Campaign Council from the Northwest Zone on a courtesy call on the Governor in Kaduna, the Headquarters of the APC North West Presidential Campaign office, said, the decision was taken at the AA Campaign Council meeting held in Kano last week.

The Governor informed the defectors that the APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mapped out strategic development plans that will consolidate the existing reforms embarked upon by President Muhammadu Buhari and the total fight against insecurity in the country.
Governor Matawalle assured them of his Commitment as the Campaign Coordinator of Tinubu/Shettima ticket that they would be carried along in political campaign activities and the decision of the APC at North West level at all times.
This development is coming on the heels of many other political victories scored by the party in recent weeks which include the recent 5000-Man March in Support of Tinubu/Shettima held in Kaduna.
The event was attended by Governor Matawalle who also received 12 erstwhile pro-PDP groups who decided to support the Tinubu/Shettima Northwest Presidential Campaign Council towards attaining victory at the 2023 polls.
