Anaccident victim who suffered Spinal Cord injury, Jamilu Bako whose surgery was sponsored by Governor Bello Matawalle at an Abuja hospital is out of hospital and recuperating.
It could be recalled that, Governor Matawalle visited him on his hospital bed in Abuja after the surgery some weeks ago.
Bako had been bedridden for over seven years after he suffered a spinal cord injury and fractures following after an accident on Gusau-Tsafe road.
Lawal Umar Maradun in a Facebook post on Sunday states that, he had a walk with Jamilu Bako and he is regaining strength gradually.
He started” In this brief walk together with him, he told me that he receives Physiotherapy everyday from the hospital since his discharge after neurosurgery.
“He demonstrated how he can now use his arm and leg, adding that he has stopped using diapers immediately after the surgery.
“He extended special gratitude to His Excellency Governor Bello Matawalle for his intervention.His 2nd surgery will follow soon”.
Governor Matawalle visited him at the Alliance Hospital Abuja in October and was received and briefed by the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Hospital, Dr. Christopher Otabor.
Dr Otabor said, the complicated surgery which he said was successful lasted for almost six hours.
