The Ora Community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara have declared support for the re-election of AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in 2023.
Mr Kehinde Adedayo, the National Secretary of the community, declared this in a statement elease, on behalf of the community on Saturday in Ilorin.
He dismissed speculations on social media that people of Ora ward are 100 per cent for a particular party.
He explained thst the gathering of a political party does not transform to the endorsement of the party and its candidates by people of the town or community.
According to him, the current administration of AbdulRazaq has shown tremendous support to the community considering the huge dividends of democracy ongoing in the ward and those already delivered.
“We all agreed that the AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq government did creditably well. We have not come together to disparage other political party choice or choices, the personal view of others cannot and will not be binding on Ora Community/Ward,” he added.
Adedayo stated that Ora people believe “that a bird in hand is better than thousands in the bush” and are equally ready and prepared to support the current administration that is providing dividends of democracy to them.
“We have resolved to remain with the progressive Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq, rather than the usual empty promises which Ora had witnessed for so many years in the past,” he said.
