Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa, has pledged more dividends of democracy to the people, if re-elected in 2023 general election.
Fintiri said this at a campaign rally in Guyuk Local Government Area of the state on Friday.
He promised to consolidate on some of his achievements in office, if given the mandate in 2023.
” We will ensure provision of potable water and enhance security of lives and property in the state.
“You can bear me witness that I have delivered a reasonable percentage of all my campaign promises in the last three years,” he said.
He said that his government had ensued timely payment of salaries to civil servants and constructed hundreds of kilometres of roads as well as increased the number of healthcare facilities in the state.
“Our free education programme has also eased hardship faced by parents since I became the state governor because all indigent students are being sponsored by the government for both WAEC and NECO examinations,” he added.
According to him, state government has paid WAEC and NECO fees for over 150,000 students in the last three years.
Mr Abubakar Shehu, the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman called on party supporters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them vote for the party’s candidates in 2023.
