The Jigawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) has debunked the media reports that some members of party have decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Buji or any other part of the state.
This was contained in a statement on Thursday signed by the state (PDP) state’s secretary of the party, Alhaji Isa Bello Gwadayi which stated that, “The media reports published in some of the news papers is not true, no any PDP member decamped to any political party in the area.
“As an indigene of Buji local government area and who resides in the local government area no village with the name Illirowa exist in the area. Such thing never happened in Buji local government area. This is just a figment of the APC imagination”.
“Ordinarily, I would not have responded to this reckless false and deceitful report from the jittery APC, but in order to put the record straight in this political season for Nigerians to be aware of the true picture of things. Buji local government area is still a strong hold of the PDP”.
He said, the ruling APC in the state is only spreading rumours that some PDP members in Illirowa village of Buji local government area of the state have decamped which is not true .
Gwadayi said, none of the elected or appointed member of the APC including the member representing Buji in the Jigawa State House of Assembly, commissoner of finance and the local government council chairman has beought any developmental projects to the area in the last seven years of the APC administration in Jigawa State.
He added, “All Promises made by APC was failed woefully and failed to fulfill any of it’s campaign promises of fighting corruption, tackling insecurity and fixing the Economy and fuel subsidy.
“All Nigerians are leaving witnesses what is happening between APC government and Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU) where academic activities in the universities paralyzed for eight months, current fuel and aviation fuel scarcity and high cost of price.
“Having not performed to the high expectations of Nigerians, and many disappointed with the APC has forced the party to venture into lying and deceit to win the heart of Nigerians, but unfortunately it is too let”.
The PDP State Secretary said, the APC is already scared that it will be defeated by the PDP from the office of the president down to the State Assembly in the forthcoming 2023 Presidential election.
