The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) governorship candidate in Jigawa State, Mustapha Sule Lamido has promised that,when voted into power in 2023, his government will provide free medical care for 70 years old people and above in the state.
In a statement, the Deputy Director, Media and Publicity, Santuraki Campaign Directorate, (SCD), Umar Kyari Jitau Madamuwa started that, the Gubernatorial Candidate, dropped the hint while addressing the people of Yankwashi Local Government Area at the ongoing consultation meeting with Local Governments stakeholders.
Lamido said, the policy is meant for the aged in the state to benefit from the government’s health programme and therefore called on all Jigawa citizens to vote massively for the PDP in the forthcoming elections.
In his address, the chairman of the campaign council, Alh. Isa Duniya Bahutu regretted on how APC allegedly made people along Yankwashi axis poor as the result of it’s retrogressive boarder closure policy.
He called on the electorates to teach APC a bitter political lesson by rejecting it in the 2023 election.
Earlier, the state PDP chairman, Alh. Ali Idris Diginsa assured that, the party will carry everybody along.
He called on the local government officials of the party to ensure that all policies and programmes information get to the people in rural areas.
Others who spoke at the occasion include, Dr Babandi Ibrahim, Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate, Hon Nasiru Umar Roni, Director General of the Campaign Directorate as well as Kabiru Nura Dare, PDP youth leader in the state.
