All Progressive Congress (APC) in Adamawa state has expelled Senator Elisha Abbo, representing Adamawa North for criticising the Party’s Presidential flag bearer, Sen. Bola Tinubu.
The expulsion notice was made known in a press release obtained by Daylight Reporters dated 7th October, 2022 signed by 29 Executive Committee Members in Mubi North.
“The Committee has approved the report of the disciplinary committee dated 5t day of October, 2022.thereore, expelled Senator Elisha Abbo, based on the interview granted on the AIT where he was condemning and criticising the Party Presidential flag bearer, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his choice of Senator Kashim Shettima as the party presidential running mate on the programme tag, focus and also reported by the Premium Times titled, APC Senator backs impeachment plan against President Muhammadu Buhari.
‘’It’s in line with the provision of the APC constitution; that the Senator Elisha Ishiyaku Abbo offended the provision of article2 1.2, paragraph ii and xii of the All Progressive Congress (APC) constitution 2022 wherefore attract the punishment of expulsion from the party as provided by Article 21.5 paragraph g of the same All Progressive Congress (APC) constitution 2022.
“For the avoidance of doubt, we the executive committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Mubi North are hereby approved the expulsion of Senator Elisha Abbo from All Progressive Congress
9APC) from today the 7th day of October, 2022.” The statement reads in parts.
Recall that Senator Abbo, alongside Hon. Yakubu Dogara and Babachir Lawal were part of the northern Christians rejecting the APC’s same faith ticket.
