Former Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has paid a condolence visit to Malam Sidi town in Kwami local government area of the state, where he commiserated with the royal family, the District Palace a well as people of Malam Sidi over the demise of the District Head of Malam Sidi, Alhaji Haruna Abdullahi who died last Monday at the age of 97.
The former governor’s delegation was received by the Senior District Head of Gombe, Alhaji Abdulkadir Abubakar, Sarkin Bai Gombe, Alhaji Ibrahim Yerima Abdullahi among other council and royal family members.
Dankwambo described the late Emir as an iconic figure, legendary monarch and embodiment of humility, known for championing the course of peace, unity and mutual understanding.
He said, “We have indeed lost one of our finest and highly revered royal fathers in Gombe State; a patriot, statesman and selfless royal father.”
He prayed Allah to forgive him and grant him Jannah and give the family/emirate the fortitude to bear the loss.
