Gombe state chapter of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) on Saturday elected Barrister Nafiu Bala as its governorship flag bearer in the state for the 2023 election.
Not fewer than 300 delegates who participated in the party’s primary election affirmed Barrister Nafiu Bala as unopposed candidate of the party.
Also elected by voice votes were three candidates to represent the senatorial zones, those to contest the federal constituencies and those for the state Assembly.
Chairman of the election Commitee, Engineer Idris Musa said the party merely went for ardent members thoroughly convinced of the party’s ideology.
“The voice affirmation of Nafiu Bala is a confirmation that he is duely loved by ADC and its members”. He said.
In his acceptance speech, Nafiu who expressed gratitude to the party for giving him the goverborship ticket said he was armed with five-point agenda on health, agriculture, security and economic emancipation to revamp the state.
