A serving Senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Lawal Yahaya Gimau, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).
Posting the pictures of the Senator receiving nomination form from Sen. Kwankwaso, an aide to Senator Kwankwaso on new media, Saifullahi Hassan announced this on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
Sen. Gumau also picked the nomination form to contest for Bauchi South Senatorial seat under his new party.
The Senator was received into the NNPP by national leader of the party, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Sen. Gumau lost his bid to be the candidate of the APC in next year’s general elections as he lost to Shehu Buba Umar in the APC primary election.
