A presidential aspirant on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has urged delegates not be emotional but be rational when casting thier votes during the primaries.
Hayatu-Deen made the call on Monday while he addressed party delegates of Kaduna State at the party secretariat in Kaduna.
He noted that delegates played a key role in determining the choice of the party’s presidential flag bearer, adding, “I urge you not to be emotional or sentimental but be rational in the discharge of your duty.”
Hayatu-Deen further enjoined party members to eschew any form of differences and choose credible candidates who would take Nigeria to greater hights.
The aspirant regretted the ravaging effect of insecurity and economic downturn witnessed in the country.
He however gave the assurance that if given the opportunity to lead the country, he would bring to bare his vast experience to better the lot of the masses.
Sen. Ahmad Makarfi in a goodwill message at the occasion, described Hayatu-Deen as a sound, excellent and exceptional administrator.
Makarfi noted that Hayatu-Deen had recorded successes in his various endeavors particularly in the private sector.
“I believe power comes from God; however, I strongly believe that Hayatu-Deen would make a wonderful administrator,” he said.
Earlier, Mr Felix Hyet also described Hayatu-Deen as a focussed and seasoned person with exceptional track record.
