Former Military President, retired General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), has held a consultation meeting with three presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a bid to have a consensus presidential candidate ahead of 2023 general election.
The four aspirants are Dr. Bukola Saraki, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State, and renowned banking guru, Mohammed Hayatudeen.
The quadruple were, however, at the hilltop residence of IBB in Minna, Niger State capital without former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is also a presidential aspirant.
The former Nigerian military leader, who as usual refused to be committal, however, tacitly expressed support for the decision to have a consensus presidential candidate among the aspirants
