A renown philanthropist cum politician, Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has condoled the Deputy Governor (Corporate Services) of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Edward Lametek Adamu over the demise of his mother, Mama Laraba Adamu Yola.
In a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser, Hon. Sani Abubakar, he described her death as a big loss to the family she left behind, people of her community and the entire country.
The Gombe born philanthropist stated that her contribution to the educational sector and her exemplary life style are parts of her virtues that she would always be remembered for especially by those who went through her tutelage while alive.
The statement further explained that Mama Laraba was a shining example not only to the women folks but to the entire humanity.
He said, “I extend my deepest condolence to Mr. Edward L. Adamu, Deputy Governor (Corporate Services) of the Central Bank of Nigeria over the death of his mother, Mama Laraba Adamu Yola who died recently in Gombe at the age of 90.
“This indeed, is a monumental loss not only to her immediate family but to the entire people of Gombe state.
“Late Mama Laraba has lived a humble life and has left behind great and memorable legacies.”
Jamil Gwamna wished the family of the deceased peace and comfort as they mourn their mother, grandmother, great grandmother.
