The Police in Kebbi state have arrested three women in Badariya area of the state for allegedly chaining and starving their stepson, Jibrin Aliyu, who was reportedly fed on animals’ dungs for close to two years without food and drink.
Their arrest followed a report to the Kebbi State Coordinator of National Human Rights Commission, Barr. Hamza Attahiru Wala by some concerned residents, who later stormed the house with Policemen where they found the teenager chained, weak and starving.
Confirming the incident to Daylight Reporters on phone, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nafiu Abubakar disclosed that the police received the information about the incident on Sunday morning and swung into action immediately to rescue the innocent boy from the captivity.
The PPRO further explained that the victim (Jubrin Aliyu) has been taken to hospital in Birnin Kebbi for medical attention.
The state coordinator of National Human Rights Commission in Kebbi state, Barr. Hamza Attahiru Wala who described the actions of the suspects as inhumane also disclosed to Daylight Reporters on phone that the matter is under investigation, while saying that the four suspects including the biological of the victim are expected to be charged to court tomorrow.
The eleven years old boy whose father is a commercial driver was said to have sustained several wounds as gathered by Daylight Reporters.
In a short video obtained by Daylight Reporters, the visibly weaken boy was seen eating parts of his hair after he had his haircut.
