As the clock ticks towards the 2023 general elections, a youth group and APC Local Government Vice Chairmen Forum in Zamfara State have launched strategies to galvanize support for Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle’s second tenure in office.
The youth group, the Youth Wing of the supporters of prominent Zamfara politician and 2019 governorship aspirant, Sani Jaji, paid a solidarity visit to the State Chairman if the ruling APC, Tukur Umar Danfulani, where it declared it’s preparedness to deploy every feasible strategy towards the victory of Matawalle at the 2023 gubernatorial polls.
The Chairman of the group, Alhaji Ibrahim Tanko Umar, leading other members of its executive Council, reiterated the loyalty of his teaming members to Matawalle and the party, saying that they were at the party office to discuss workable strategies to further boost the chances of Matawalle’s continuity in office as governor beyond 2023.
The former Gusau local government chairman pointed out that his members had already developed a programme to mobilize more support for the governor and the APC ahead of the 2023 polls by ensuring that every eligible voter is registered, religiously guards his or her voters card and use it wisely to return Matawalle to power in 2023.
In another development, members of the APC Vice-Chairmen Forum in the state, led by the Chairman, Alhaji Yahaya Musa Zannah Magami, were at the State Headquarters of the APC where they promised to mobilize more people to fully participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise by INEC.
He said the effort would culminate in more Matawalle and APC supporters obtaining their voters card to ensure the governor’s return to power.
In his response to both groups, the State APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani, reassured that every member of the party would be carried along in efforts at strengthening it for electoral victories.
He thanked them for the visit and assured that the party would continue to partner strongly with groups and individuals towards moving Zamfara the the Matawalle positive agenda forward.
Present at both visits were the State APC Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, Publicity Secretary, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, Assistant Publicity Secretary, Junaidu Attahiru Dosara, and Special Adviser to the Governor on political Affairs, Ibrahim Maaji.
