Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State has appointed three Special Advisers to boost the capacity of his administration to pull the state out of its sticky insecurity and position it on the path of genuine development.
The new Special Advisers are: Barr. Abdurrasheed Haruna, Turaki Yahaya Mafara and Ibrahim Muhammed Lugga.
Swearing the three political appointees into office in Gusau, Government House Gusau, Governor Matawalle charged them to lend their wealth of experience and knowledge towards accomplishing the mission of his administration to restore peace and address other development challenges confronting the state..
He said their role as Special Advisers is essentially to augment the role of the State Executive Council in order to add value and credibility to the Government.
The governor expressed confidence that they would bring nlfresh and purposeful ideas.
“Your total devotion to duty is non-negotiable and must be maintained at all times,” he said, adding, “Your people will closely watch you as representatives of the numerous communities that make up the State,” and charging, “therefore, you must endeavour to always protect your personal integrity and that of the government at all costs”.
The Oath of office was administered on the three advisers by the State Chief Judge, Justice Kulu Aliyu.
