An ex commissioner in the government of Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state Dr Ahmed Gana on Sunday defected from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Gana who was commissioner of health in the state is defecting to the opposition party few days after a serving federal lawmaker representing Kwami and Funakaye local governments in the house of representatives Honourable Yaya Bauchi decamped from APC to the PDP.
He was received by the ward chairman of the party Alhaji Adamu Babuga who presented the party’s card to him.
According to Babuga, the party has made a big catch with the coming of the former commissioner into it.
He claimed that the ex member of the Inuwa Yahaya’s cabinet left the administration because ‘it is not doing the needful’ for the people of the state.
Similarly, a former Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo Honourable Sani Garba Anaruwa and hundreds others have returned the to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state.
