The population of the top-ranking members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State depleted, Thursday, 27th January, with the resignation of Muhammad Bello Santuraki.
Santuraki, the former Director of the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) in Gombe State, is of Unguwan Nassarawo, Kumo East, Akko Local Government Area of the state.
He contested for the candidature of the party at its primary election for the House of Representatives seat to represent Akko Federal Constituency, but lost.
Santuraki’s resignation is contained in a letter to that effect addressed to the Chairman of the party in Akko Local Government Area.
The Akko politician said he resigned his membership of the party “after a careful observations of the lingering series of events within the party and there is no meaningful
resolution that could bring back the confidence and hope of the rational
members of the party.”
He said he would notify his supporters and the general public of his next political direction in due course.
