Youths in their large number trooped to the street on Saturday morning demanding end to the series of attacks and killings in Southern Kaduna.
The aggrieved youths, many of who wore black clothes, carried placards with various inscriptions showing their displeasure over the lingering killings in the region.
The Protesting youths who converged at the Kaduna refinery junction resisted police attempt to dispatched them until three of their members who were earlier arrested were released from the police custody.
While speaking to Journalists, one of the conveners, comrade Alpha Limis, said the planned protest was peaceful in a single spot and without obstruction of roads but wondered why some of their members were arrested.
Confirming the arrest of some of the the protesters, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, ASP Mohammed Jalige said, ‘the arrest was made because there was no prior notification of the procession.”
