Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Saturday received more than seven thousand (7,000) decampees from APC, ADC and others in Jada local government area of Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria.
The Governor welcomed the decampees to the largest party in sub-Sahara Africa. He added that his administration will continue to transform the state through infrastructure and human development.
He equally promised to upgrade Jada comprehensive school to science-based institutions.
Responding on behalf of other defectors, Malam Mahmud, Umar UJ and Alhaji Musa Hammawa said they defected to the PDP because of the giant strides recorded by the Governor in just two years.
In their separate remarks, the PDP chairman Barrister AT Shehu, the senator representing Southern Adamawa Senator Binos Yaroe, Honourable commissioner youths and sports Babadoke Aloysius , Hon. Commissioner works and energy development Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar and member house of Assembly jada/Mbulo Hon. Hammatukur Yetisuri saluted the defectors for their decision to return to PDP.
The Governor was accompanied by the chief of staff Government house professor Maxwell Gidado among other top government officials.
