Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has approved a total sum of N2.6 billion for the construction acces roads and drainages in some parts of the state.
According to a statement by Abubakar Muazu Dakingari, Chief Press Secretary Kebbi Government House, the decision was in furtherance of the policy thrust of Bagudu-led administration in the state to bring succor to communities through the provision of socio-economic amenities to urban and rural areas.
The statement shows the breakdown of the amount as N1.5 billion was approved for the construction of roads and drainages at Bayan Oando and Tipper Garage areas of Birnin Kebbi.
Another sum of N1.14 billion is to be spent on the construction of roads and drainages at Unguwan Zabarmawa area also in Birnin Kebbi.
Similarly, N542 million has been assigned for construction of another access roads and drainages at behind old CID office, Mullawa and Rafin Atiku areas.
The scope of the work for the contract include site clearance, earth work, provision of sub-base, prime coat and asphalt, construction of culverts and drainages stone pitching work and compensation.
