Barely 24 hours after the attack on her father, Sen. Muhammad Danjuma Goje, Gombe state Commissioner of Environment and Forest Resources, Dr. Hussaina Goje, has resigned her appointment.
Dr. Hussaina Goje is a daughter to Sen. Goje.
In a press statement released on Saturday, 6th November, 2021 signed by Dr. Goje, the former Commissioner said her resignation was based on personal reasons.
“Today Saturday the 6th of November, 2021, I wish to inform the general public and media organisations that I, Dr. Hussaina Goje, have tendered my formal resignation from my position as Honourable Commissioner of Environment and Forest Resources to His Excellency the Executive Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya effective today.
“I also wish to inform that my resignation was made based on personal reasons,” she clarified in the statement.
The former Commissioner further appreciated Gov Yahaya for giving her the opportunity to serve in the State Executive Council.
“With this, I wish to show my appreciation for the opportunity given to me by His Excellency the Executive Governor to serve as a member of his Executive Council in this administration,” Dr. Goje added.
Daylight Reporters reports that some Kalare political thugs attacked the convoy of Sen. Muhammad Danjuma Goje from entering the state capital yesterday, Friday where five persons were reported to have lost their lives.
