GOMBE: The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Gombe state has warned the Inuwa Yahaya led APC administration of stockpiling heedless debts in the state in less than three years of his administration.
The Chairman of the Party, Maj. Gen. Amnon Kwaskebe Rtd, issued the warning while addressing newsmen, has stressed that the way and manner the APC administration is carelessly accumulating debts, the future of the state would be at stake.
Kwaskebe while reacting on the reportage by some media platforms that the state’s debt profile has raised to the tune of over N100 billion and the administration is still heedlessly borrowing said, the PDP and the entire people of Gombe state would not fold their hands watching the APC administration mortgaging the future of the state without commensurate achievements.
“We noticed with dismay that Mr. Yahaya is micromanaging the affairs of the state to secretly enrich himself at the expense of the entire people of Gombe.
“We can’t sit down to watch this clueless administration stockpiling debts in the state without a commensurate achievement on ground.
“Gov Yahaya is just using the seat of power to mortgage the future of the state and that of our children.” The statement read in parts.
Kwaskebe further confirm that with the recent N35b and N18.7b request, the State’s debt profile is rising to the tune of over N100b in just little over two years of the Inuwa Yahaya administration without corresponding benefits to the state.
Recall that, an exclusive story by Daylight Reporters has confirmed that the state’s debt status is N109 billion according to the document obtained by the newspaper.
But all efforts to speak with the Director Press Affairs to Governor Yahaya has proved abortive as he neither calls put to his MTN line nor return the short medium message, SMS sent to him by our reporter.
