Governor of Jigawa state Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has directed that all civil servants irrespective of their levels in the state to resume work effect Tuesday the 4th of August, 2020.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, Auwal Sankara, and made available to newsmen on Monday.
Badaru recall that the state had piloted the return of civil servants from levels 12 and above to work some weeks back.
He noted that since the return of the civil servants for the pilot scheme things have been calm and civil servants have followed the Covid-19 control protocols.
The Governor declared that, ‘consequently all civil servants of all grades are directed to return to work from tomorrow 4th of August, just as said: “all must obey the Covid-19 protocol including use of face masks, social distancing as well as personal hygiene.
Similarly, the Governor directs the reopening of schools for graduating students.
According to the Governor, only 40 schools will reopen as others will follow the lead if the pilot process becomes evidently safe for the children.
He said the decision followed the continued successes recorded in the fight against covid-19 across the state.
Badaru explained that for the past 16 days the state has not recorded a single case and even the only case on admission was tested negative and was since discharged.
