The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Yobe state has charged corps members to comply fully with COVID 19 regulations throughout their service year in the state in order to remain hale and hearty.
State coordinator of the scheme Mrs Hafsat Yerima gave this charge Monday during the closing ceremony of the 2021 orientation course for batch B, stream I members held at Dazigau camp Yobe state.
According to her, COVID 19 pandemic is still in place in the nation and that they should prevent themselves from it as they serve in the state.
“I wish to advise that the COVID-19 pandemic is still very much with us. Do all you can to observe safety protocols at all times. It is said, “A stitch in time saves nine”. The coordinator counselled.
Hafsat commended the corps members for their commitment and zeal throughout the duration of the orientation course adding that it was a testimony of their belief in the Nigerian project and the indivisibility of the country.
“I equally note with satisfaction dear compatriots your ability to melt into one people with a common goal to serve Nigeria with equanimity, dedication and zeal encapsulated in a spirit of brotherhood and friendship.
“I also acknowledge with joy your positive disposition towards one another as there was no any adverse report on your behavior to warrant sanctions from management throughout the three weeks’ period of orientation”. She hailed the corps members.
