Emir of Katagum in Bauchi state Alhaji Umar Faruk II has commended the Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Azare, Dr Abdullahi Ibrahim for the numerous achievements he recorded within the past seven years of his stewardship as the chief executive of the hospital.
The emir made the commendation during his visit to the centre to acquaint himself with the development so far and the services being rendered to the public.
He said the Medical Director deserves every commendation for his infrastructural and human development of the centre.
The first class traditional ruler urged people of the local government to always go to health facilities whenever they are ill and avoid unnecessary consumption of herbs.
The Emir was received at the FMC by the chairman governing of the board Ambassador Ahmed Abdulhamid who traced the history of the centre its establishment in the year 2001.
He said as 21 year old hospital, FMC Azare could compete with any facility in the nation.
Ambassador Ahmed described the visit by the emir as the first of its kind ever since the centre was established and appeal for his continued support especially in the areas of giving fatherly advice for the growth and development of the centre.
Also speaking, the Medical Director, FMC, Azare, Dr Abdullahi Ibrahim said the centre will forever remain professional and dedicated to serving humanity.
He lauded president Muhammadu Buhari through for constructing College of Nursing in it and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for constructing a world class Opthalmology and Laboratory complexes at the centre.
These we pointed out have added value to the hospital and improved its services significantly.
