Bauchi State First Lady Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed has bagged the most Valuable Governor’s wife Awards.
The Award Presentation ceremony which took place at Sheraton and towers hotel Abuja had in Attendance, some prominent personalities within and outside the country.
The 15 First Ladies who recieved the award were drawn from different geo-political zones in Nigeria which the Awards is designed and tailored to lead a New trend in the assessment and Recognition of the governor’s wives that are providing complementary effort to support the governor’s achievements.
According to the organizers, the assessment of the 36 Governors wives and the wife of the FCT minister is based on their projects Availability in the public domain and impact on beneficiaries through their Pet projects.
The organisers observed that Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed has contributed positively at reducing the high rate of illiteracy and early marriage among young girls, blaming the situation on parents who believed formal education for the girl child is a mare waste of resources.
Receiving the Award alongside other Recipients, Hajiya Aisha described as an embodiment of determination, courage and Endurance her efforts to support vulnerable groups in the society.
Appreciating the gesture done to her, the Bauchi state first lady who doubled as a Founder of Al’muhibbah foundation, Informed the gathering that her pet project of Al’muhibbah foundation was started in 2010 initially with the aim of Rehabitating, Renovating and beautifying Both Muslims and Christians burial ground within the Fct.
She said alot have been achieved in Various humanitarian services not only in Abuja or Bauchi but in some parts of the federation.
The First ladies who recieved the award are From 15 States of Katsina, Ebonyi, Ekiti, Taraba, Bauchi, Sokoto, Kano, Adamawa and Edo,
Others are Zamfara, Kwara, Plateau, Osun, Borno and Kaduna.
The commissioner women Affairs and Child development Hajara jibrin Gidado, chairperson Basovca Mrs hassana Arkila, among others, described the Award as well deserved and Also Based on merit and enumerated some of the qualities and Good leadership style of Hajiya Aishat Bala Mohammad
