Leaders of Igbo Nsukka United front, a socio-cultural and development group based in University town of Nsukka, Enugu have visited the President of Arewa Youth Forum (AYF), Comrade Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu in Kaduna to invite him and the forum to the Annual Igbo Nsukka United Economic Summit and Merit Award Ceremony in honour of late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, even as they seek to partner with the forum towards the success of the event.
Speaking when he led the national executive members of the group on a courtesy visit to the President of the AYF, the Director General of the group said they decided to extend their hands of friendship and brotherhood to the AYF for their nationalistic beliefs which are in consonance with late Azikiwe’s vision for a greater Nigeria.
“Your organisation, having exhibited nationalistic beliefs and peaceful coexistence of all Nigerians irrespective of tribe or creed, a feature that is in consonance with Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe’s vision. This has prompted our desire to extend a hand of friendship and brotherhood to you and your organisation, that we may join hands together to work for the good and progress of all Nigerians.” He said.
In his response, Alhaji Gambo Gujungu commended the group for their efforts in securing a United and prosperous Nigeria, adding that the AYF will partner with them to actualize the mission.
