Omoyele Sowore, publisher and human rights activist, has been shot by the police in Abuja, according to Inibehe Effiong, one of the lawyers of the activist.
Effiong said a female police officer shot Sowore at the Unity Fountain in Abuja during a protest on Monday morning.
