A member representing Gwaram Federal Constituency, Honourable Yuguda Hassan Kila, has died after a brief illness, at the age of 70.
Honourable Kila died on Thursday afternoon at the National Hospital, Abuja.
The retired customs comptroller and now late politician began his basic education at Kila Primary School and subsequently Igbo Union Grammar School in Kano.
He also attended the prestigious Barewa College in Zaria and later attended the College of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida, USA.
In 2015, he was elected member of the House of Representatives on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, to represent Gwaram Constituency.
He was re-elected for the same position in 2019 general elections and was until death the chairman of the House Committee on Customs.
