The Gombe State Geographic Information System, GOGIS, has commenced the issuance of the new digital certificate of occupancy, C-of-O.
The Director General of the agency, Dr. Kabiru Usman Hassan announced this in a statement issued on Tuesday.
He said, “in line with Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s gigantic drive on total eradication of corruption associated with land dealings, as a robust, reliable and versatile agency, Gombe Geographic Information Systems, GOGIS wishes to announce to the public that, Digital Certificates are now available”.
He emphasized the need for computerization of land records as a measure to proactively key into the information technology revolution.
Dr. Usman also disclosed that re-certification is on going for land title owners to re-certify their old C-of-Os.
