Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has approved the appointment of Chairman and Members of Gombe State Local Government Service Commission.
This was contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the Governor and made available to Newsmen on Friday.
According to the statement, Alhaji Adamu Malala was appointed as Chairman of the Commission, while Abdulkadir Mohammed Turaki and Abubakar D Yahaya were appointed as Permanent Partner one and two respectively.
Others are Usman Habu Kalba and Mrs. Zainab J Akawu who will serve as Permanent member three and four respectively.
Similarly, the Governor has also approved the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Tafida, an agronomist at the Agricultural Extension and Management Department, Federal College of Horticulture Dadinkowa as Senior Special Assistant/ Coordinator, Gombe Goes Green Project (3G).
The appointments of Chairman and Permanent Members of the Local Government Service Commission are with immediate effect while that of the SSA/ 3G Coordinator is with effect from 1st July, 2020.
The Secretary to the state Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the Governor’s approval, congratulated the new appointees and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by bringing to bear, their wealth of experience and knowledge while discharging their new responsibilities.
