Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has asserted that without police men and other law enforcement agencies, Nigeria would be divided.
The governor made the assertion on Saturday while addressing journalists shortly after he cast his vote at duguri, Alkaleri local government of the state during the local government election that held across the state.
He said he is in support of reforming the police but advised the protesters of end SARS nationwide to be cautious and avoid breaking law and order.
According to him, the security agents should be professional in the discharge of their constitutional duties while charging the citizens to respect constituted authorities.
Bala who emphasized that Nigeria is stronger, more formidable as an indivisible nation asked journalists to unite the compatriots through their reportage.
He said the idea to conduct local governments elections was to fulfill his election promise and give the youth a chance to participate in governance.
