The management of Keraweb Media Limited, the publisher of Daylight Reporters, has on Friday bids farewell to one of its NYSC staff, Miss Yakubu Abu.
Yakubu Abu who completed her mandatory National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on 17 July, 2020 was a student of Bayero University Kano, BUK, where she studied English language from the department of English and Literary Studies.
In an interview with Daylight Reporters shortly after the official ceremony, Abu disclosed that her stay with Keraweb Media Limited is an eye opener for her in the media world.
Abu who could not hide her feelings further explained that she had learned the rudiments of journalism.
The young promising Abu who joined Keraweb Media Limited as an NYSC staff in September 2019 said: “I was able to learn in the process, and I can now confidently practice journalism.”
Abu who is very optimistic of becoming Journalist in future explained that she applied for Mass Communication but was admitted into English and Literary studies department.
According to her, “my dream is to have my master degree in Mass Communication, so that I can competitively practice Journalism.”
When asked about her working relationship with other staff and the management, she explained: “I have a very good working relationship with everybody. The Managing Director, Mr. Dahiru Hassan Kera is a wonderful man, who despite his status never look down on his staff. It is being a nice experience.”
The peak of the event was the parting gift handed over to her by the Managing Director of Keraweb Media Limited.
