Munir Jafaru, one of the top contenders to Zazzau throne, has paid homage to the new Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu-Bamalli, at his palace in Zaria City, Kaduna State.
Recall that on Wednesday, Governor Nasir El-Rufa’i had appointed Mr Nuhu-Bamalli as the new Emir of Zazzau, succeeding Dr. Shehu Idris who died on Sunday, September 20, after reigning for 45 years.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the visit, Mr Jaafaru who is the Yariman Zazzau, pledged to work with the new emir in promoting the emirate.
Recall that the Yarima had earlier congratulated the new emir shortly after his appointment by the Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Wednesday.
In a terse statement on Wednesday, Mr Jaafaru accepted the appointment of Mr Bamalli as the will of God.
He, therefore, prayed that, “may Allah SWT guide, lead and direct his actions on the throne, and usher in peace and prosperity to our people”.
He said: “It is with deep sense of gratitude to Almighty SWT that I learnt of the appointment of Magajin Garin Zazzau, Ambadsador Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli as the new Emir of Zazzau, by Governor Nasir Ahmed el Rufai.
“We all must all accept the will of Allah SWT, and congratulate the new Emir, HH Ambassador Nuhu Bamalli on his appointment.
“May Allah SWT guide, lead and direct his actions on the throne, and usher in peace and prosperity to our people. Allahumma Amin.
“I, on behalf of my family, friends and well wishes wish to also express my immense and profound gratitude to you, and through you, all and sundry for the outpouring of support/solidarity and prayers.
