The Cross River State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has congratulated the wife of the State Governor, Bishop (Mrs.) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, on her recognition and induction into the prestigious UN 1000 African Women Network in New York, USA.
The union congratulated the State First Lady in a statement signed by the Chairman, Comrade Archibong Bassey and Secretary, Comrade Mike Abang, which was made available to DAYLIGHT REPORTERS on Thursday in Calabar, the State capital.
The NUJ noted that the global honour was a testament to Bishop Otu’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian service, social development and women and girls empowerment.

“Your visionary leadership, compassion, and impactful initiatives continue to inspire hope and transform lives, not just in Cross River State but beyond,” the statement said.
The union also noted that as a beacon of selfless service and a champion of the ‘People-First’ governance philosophy, the Governor’s wife exemplify true leadership, adding that, “we are proud to celebrate this remarkable milestone with you.
“May this recognition propel you to even greater heights as you continue to serve humanity with honor and distinction,” the NUJ prayed.
