37th Anniversary: Senator Akpabio congratulaes Governor Umo Eno; Pays glowing tribute to past gov’s, Akwa Ibomites

Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio has congratulated the government and the people of Akwa Ibom State on the 37th anniversary celebration of the creation of the state.b
Akpabio, in a congratulatory message through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh lauded Governor Umo Eno and the entire people of the State for their steadfastness, unity and cooperation in the development of Akwa Ibom.
“Today, we celebrate a remarkable milestone – the 37th anniversary of Akwa Ibom State. It is indeed a worthwhile journey, which has been fulfilling despite some challenges. In the last 37 years, we have all beena wonderful and have proven that ours is indeed the “Land of Promise”
“On behalf of the Senate, my family and constituents, I extend my warmest felicitations to Governor Umo Eno, the government, and people of Akwa Ibom State for attaining 37th years of statehood, as a one united entity with landmark developmental strides”, Akpabio stated.
The Senate President further noted that, “as we mark this significant occasion, I reflect on the state’s tremendous progress and resilience since September 23, 1987. As governor for 8 years, I also contributed my quota to the development of our people and the state, and I must appreciate your generosity for the confidence you reposed in me and the opportunity you accorded me to serve the state in that capacity.
“I must pay tribute to all the past governors and others who have served the state in different capacities for their contributions. Under Governor Umo Eno’s leadership, Akwa Ibom continues to thrive, driven by his inclusive and visionary approach.
“To my fellow Akwa Ibomites, I urge you to continue rallying behind us your sons and daughters, in positions of authority, and Governor Umo Eno’s administration, working together towards a brighter future for our beloved state.
“May this anniversary inspire renewed hope, unity, and progress”, he stated.
