Former Zamfara State governor, Abdulaziz Yari has has reiterated his determination to continue to mobilize more supporters and goodwill to the All Progressives Congress APC in Zamfara ahead of the 2023 general elections and beyond.
The party in a statement by it’s state Publicity Secretary Yusuf Idris Gusau on Wednesday stated that, the former governor made the remark at a Stakeholders Meeting organized for the people of Kaura Namoda, Zurmi, Shinkafi and Birnin Magaji areas to sensitize them more on the need to sustain the APC in power in both the state and at the federal level.
According to the statement, Yari said he remains unrelenting and will always work towards the promotion of unity, fair play and ensure equitable distribution of wealth while bringing development in Zamfara in particular and the country in general.
The former governor commended Zamfara citizens for their resilience and unhindered prayers to the state government under the leadership of governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle.
He also appreciated Nigerians for their steadfastness in supporting the APC at the national level saying that better days were fast approaching, if they vote in Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Shattima as the next president and his vice in the coming elections.
Speaking, the Zamfara State APC Chairman, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani who was represented by his Deputy, Alhaji Hassan Marafa Damri commended the former governor for his effort in solidifying the unity achieved in the party.
He said, the effort is making the APC stronger and increasing its chances of being a mega-party in the country.
Danfulani assured that as the chairman of the party in the state, he will continue to hold on to fairness and justice to all members.
In a welcome address earlier, former chairman Zamfara APC chairman, Hon. Lawal Liman, reiterated that all members of the APC in the state,have returned home as a family because of the unity brockered early this year.
In their separate responses, the chairmen of Kaura Namoda, Birnin Magaji, Shinkafi and Zurmi assured of their full support and cooperation for the success of APC in the state and the country at large.
The meeting was attended by the APC State Secretary, Hon.Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, Immediate past Secretary, Hon. Musa Talata Mafara, Publicity Secretary, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau, Welfare Secretary, Alhaji Bashir Idris Ataka.
Others were; Former Commissioners of Budget and Special Duties, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Danmadami and Hon. Sani Garba General respectively.
The rest include; Hon. Ibrahim Maaji admin as well as party leaders from all the 14 local governments.
