Ahead of the 2023 General Elections, Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has appealed for unity among party members in the state.
Sule made the call on Wednesday in Lafia, while receiving the report of the reconciliation committee set up to address the grievances of members at the recent party primaries in the state.
The governor appealed to the party members to put everything behind them and work for the victory of the party in all positions in 2023.
He said everyone who participated in the primaries should accept the outcome in good faith as `leadership only comes from God’.
He commended the aggrieved persons for appearing and tabling their issues before the committee.
“All those who left the party are not our enemies, but we cannot work for the success of anyone who is no longer in APC.
“We cannot stop anyone who fill aggrieved and want to leave the party from leaving, but we will engage them and discuss with them with a view of addressing issues,” Sule said.
He also expressed gratitude to members of the committee for accepting the assignment given to them
The governor promised to do his best toward implementing the recommendations of the committee, as that would help the party achieve victory in the next election.
Earlier, Hassan Liman, Chairman of the committee ,expressed gratitude to the governor for giving them opportunity to serve the state and the party
Liman, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) ,said the committee had interacted with more than 95 per cent of aspirants who participated in the APC primaries.
The committee chairman, therefore, appealed to the governor to ensure full implementation of the recommendations of their report.
