Gombe State New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Hon. Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki has flagged-off the distribution of 50 cars and 500 motorcycles to party officials and supporters across the state.
Speaking during the distribution of the items to the beneficiaries which took place in his residence in Gombe,Mailantarki said the gesture was to appreciate the support the beneficiaries are giving him and the party in the state.
He said, his quest to govern Gombe State is aimed at liberating it’s people from the chain up of mis-governance under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Mailantarki added that, the distribution of the cars and motorcycles is to boost the morale of the party members especially in helping them deliver the message of hope of the NNPP to the nooks and crannies of the state as the election draws nearer.
Mailantaki said, “We aren’t in government yet but we felt indebted by the support we’re always and consistently getting from our party leaders and supporters across the state and this gesture was to modestly recognise and appreciates individual and collective efforts of the beneficiaries.
“I’m use to this, when I was in the House of Representatives, I distributed cars, tricycles, and motorcycle that nobody has ever done it or replicate the gesture till today.”
The NNPP governorship candidate appealed to other party members who were not included in the empowerment to exercise patience, saying that more empowerment schemes were on the way.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of the party, who is also one of the beneficiaries,commended the efforts of Hon. Mailantarki and charges the beneficiaries to made adequate utilization of the items.
He promised that, the party officials will double their efforts in promoting the party to ensure that Mailantarki win the Gubernatorial elections come 2023.
Among the beneficiaries are; Hon. Rambi Ayala member representing Billiri East, Hon. Hamza Adamu representing Balanga South and Hon. Bappah Usman Jurara representing Funakaye South in the state assembly respectively.
Others were; State Party Chairman, Umar Abdullahi Maikano, Secretary of the Party, Nasiru Muhammad, and Youth Leader of the party, Ibrahiim Muhammad Abba.
