STCI Engages Sokoto Stakeholders On Inclusive Education Policy

A non governmental organization, Save the Child Initiative (STCI) Nigeria, has engaged various stakeholders in Sokoto state on socialization of National and State Policy on Inclusive Education.

Speaking in his opening remarks, Malam Rabiu Bello Gandi, STCI Head of Migration, Mobility and Protection said the aim of the workshop is to foster
collaboration among agencies to help achieve a gender responsive education sector plan.

According to Rabiu, creating sustainable avenue for Gender Responsive Sector Education Plan would equally help in the enrolment, retention and completion of schools drive in the state.

Malam Rabiu who equally thanked both the state government and stakeholders for their continued collaboration with development partners, appealed for all hands to be on the deck towards ensuring sound education for all.

Earlier in a goodwill message, one of the participants from the ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, reaffirmed their resolve to support every efforts geared towards boosting education in the state.

According to him, the socialization and awareness raising session which has brought together Director Planning Female Education Board, and stakeholders from the Ministry of Basic and secondary education, Arabic and Islamic Education Board, State Agency of Mass Education, Agency for Nomadic Education.

Also in the socialization workshop include stakeholders from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Science and Technology, Budget and Economic Planning as well as women and youth led groups, civil society organizations and representatives from the People with Disability.
