French President Emmanuel Macron, on Monday said he would approach the EU summit talks with great determination and preparedness to make compromises.
Macron, however, warned against being overly optimistic that an agreement could be reached on the bloc’s coronavirus recovery fund and long-term budget.
“The ink is not dry. I am, therefore, remaining extremely cautious,” Macron said.
Asked how much coronavirus aid would be offered in grants and how much in loans, Macron said “elements of progress” had been made.
