The Chairman Board of Directors of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, Alhaji Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar, on Monday, lost his father, Alhaji Muhammad Hamisu Abubakar.
A statement by Head of Corporate Communication of Kaduna Electric, Abdulazeez Abdullahi described the deceased as a highly religious person, a community leader and an extraordinary philanthropist.
The statement quoted one of the grand daughters of the deceased, Rukayya Hamisu Abubakar saying “his demise has created a great vacuum in the family in particular and the community at large which may hardly be filled.”
The late Octogenarian is survived by 15 children, 35 grand children, and 4 great grand children. Among his children are Barr. Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar, BOD Chairman Kaduna Electric, a three time Commissioner and former gubernatorial aspirant in Kaduna state.
Late Alhaji Muhammad Hamisu Abubakar was laid to rest yesterday according to Islamic injunction.
